Accused Gilgo Beach Serial Killer Rex Heuermann Charged with 2000 Murder of Valerie Mack

Rex Heuermann, the New York architect accused in the Gilgo Beach serial killings, has been charged with a seventh murder. Prosecutors announced that Heuermann is now formally charged with the 2000 death of Valerie Mack, a 24-year-old from New Jersey who had been working as an escort in Philadelphia. Mack's remains were first found in Manorville on Long Island in 2000. Heuermann, who has pleaded not guilty to all charges, appeared in court on Tuesday as prosecutors unveiled the significant development in their investigation. Valerie Mack's family was expected to be present in court.
