Jan 16, 2025, 01:07 PM
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times at his residence in Mumbai's Bandra area early Thursday morning. The attack occurred around 2 a.m. when an intruder entered Khan's home, initially targeting his son Jeh's room. The assailant demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore from Khan's domestic staff. Upon hearing the commotion, Khan intervened, leading to a scuffle where he was stabbed six times, including a 2.5 inch deep wound near his spine and another on his neck. Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital by his son Ibrahim in an auto-rickshaw and underwent surgery. He is currently out of danger and under observation in the ICU. Mumbai Police have formed 20 teams to search for the accused, with CCTV footage captured at 2:33 am showing the suspect fleeing via the building's staircase. The incident has sparked political controversy, with opposition leaders questioning the city's law and order situation.
