Elon Musk Becomes Top Donor with $274 Million Supporting Trump, Including Funding RBG PAC
Dec 6, 2024, 03:32 AM
Elon Musk has emerged as the largest political donor in the 2024 U.S. presidential election, spending at least $274 million to support President-elect Donald Trump, according to new federal filings. Musk contributed substantial funds to pro-Trump super PACs, including $239 million to America PAC and $20.5 million to a mysterious group called RBG PAC. The RBG PAC, entirely funded by Musk, ran ads using the likeness of the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg to defend Trump's abortion stance, aiming to convince voters that he would refuse to sign a national abortion ban by comparing Trump's views to Ginsburg's. Some of Musk's donations were channeled through alias LLCs, such as 'United States of America Inc.'
