Syrian Interim Government Reports 14 Killed, 10 Injured in Tartus Ambush by Assad Loyalists

Fourteen members of the Syrian interim government's Ministry of Interior were killed and 10 others injured in an ambush in the countryside of Tartus Governorate. The attack was carried out by forces loyal to the ousted government of Bashar al-Assad, according to Syrian Interior Minister Mohammed Abdul Rahman. The minister described the assailants as remnants of the Assad regime, and warned that the ministry would take strong action against anyone threatening Syria's security. The ambush occurred as the officers were performing their duties to maintain security and protect civilians.
