German Police Arrest Three Islamic State Supporters, Including 15-Year-Old, Seize Weapons
Dec 10, 2024, 11:29 AM
German authorities have arrested three men suspected of planning an Islamist terror attack in the name of the Islamic State group. The suspects include two German-Lebanese brothers, aged 15 and 20, from Mannheim, and a 22-year-old German-Turkish man from the Hochtaunuskreis district. The trio had allegedly prepared a "serious act of violence" that could have endangered the state. During raids on their residences, police seized an assault rifle, ammunition, knives, tactical gear, a balaclava, and a bulletproof vest. Authorities described finding "enormous evidence" of the planned attack. The arrests underscore ongoing concerns about radicalized individuals, including teenagers, plotting terrorist acts in Germany.
