Israeli PM's Aide Released to House Arrest Amid Classified Document Leak Case, Prosecution Appeals

Eli Feldstein, an aide to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has been released to house arrest after more than a month in custody, following a ruling by a judge at the Tel Aviv District Court that the evidence against him for harming state security was too weak to proceed to trial, as reported by Israeli media. Feldstein's lawyer stated that he decided to stop sacrificing himself for Netanyahu. The case involves the alleged leak of classified documents from Netanyahu's office, with Feldstein's attorney claiming that Netanyahu was aware of the document leak and that the Prime Minister has the authority to declassify any material without needing approval. The prosecution has decided to appeal the decision to release Feldstein to house arrest to the Supreme Court.
