On Christmas night, a family dispute at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Arizona escalated into violence, resulting in three people being shot and one person being stabbed, according to police. The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. at an airport restaurant outside the security checkpoints in Terminal 4. Authorities stated that the group involved in the altercation all knew each other. A juvenile female and a man were detained in the airport parking garage. One person suffered life-threatening injuries. The shooting led to temporary closures and pausing of services at parts of the airport, including the PHX Sky Train station, but operations have since returned to normal.
