The Canadian government informed these officials that their communications have been intercepted. This revelation comes amid ongoing tensions between India and Canada, with the MEA accusing Canadian officials of deliberately leaking unfounded allegations to the international media to discredit India and sway other nations. MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal addressed these issues, emphasizing the importance of regular dialogue with the United States regarding migration and mobility, following recent deportations of irregular Indian migrants from the U.S.
