NCB Busts 'Breaking Bad' Meth Lab Linked to Mexican Cartel; 95 kg Meth Seized, Tihar Warden Arrested
Oct 29, 2024, 09:15 AM
In a significant operation reminiscent of 'Breaking Bad,' the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Special Cell of Delhi Police jointly busted a clandestine methamphetamine manufacturing lab in the Kasana Industrial Area of Greater Noida on 25th October 2024. Authorities seized approximately 95 kg of methamphetamine and arrested four individuals, including a Tihar jail warden who was running the lab, a Mumbai-based chemist, and a Delhi businessman. Investigations have revealed links to the notorious 'Cannibal' Mexican cartel, indicating an international drug trafficking network. The meth lab was producing drugs intended for distribution within India and for export. The operation underscores the increasing involvement of international cartels in India's narcotics trade.
