Paris Opens 46,000 Cubic Meter Basin to Clean Seine for 2024 Olympics by 2025

Paris has inaugurated a colossal water storage basin designed to clean up the River Seine in preparation for the 2024 Paris Games. The basin, which was officially opened by Mayor Anne Hidalgo, has a capacity of 46,000 cubic meters and is aimed at reducing pollution levels in the river. This initiative is part of efforts to make the Seine suitable for marathon swimming and the swimming segments of the Olympic and Paralympic triathlons by 2025.
