Jul 26, 2024, 05:14 PM
A 17-year-old teenager in Nebraska has been charged with two felony counts of criminal mischief after allegedly causing a train to derail to record the incident and post it on YouTube. The derailment occurred on April 21 in Bennet, Nebraska, resulting in $350,000 in damages. The teenager, who has not been identified due to his age, posted a five-minute video of the incident titled 'MOST INSANE VIDEO I’VE EVER TAKEN!' showing two locomotives and five railcars derailed. Prosecutors have filed a motion to transfer the case from juvenile to adult court. If convicted, the teenager could face up to seven years in prison for the 'insane footage'.
