Authorities have discovered explosive devices in the car of Thomas Matthew Crooks, the man suspected of attempting to assassinate former President Donald Trump at a rally in Butler, PA on Saturday. According to sources briefed on the investigation, the explosives were found after police received multiple reports of suspicious packages near the suspect's vehicle. The Wall Street Journal reports that Crooks also had explosive material inside his residence. The gun used in the attempted assassination belonged to Crooks' father.
