Karnataka marked the International Day of Democracy on September 15, 2024, by forming a record-breaking 2,500-kilometer-long human chain. The event, which stretched from Bidar to Chamarajanagar, involved school and college students, as well as Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who joined hands with a pourakarmika, ministers, and other officials at Vidhana Soudha. In Mangaluru, students formed a human chain at KPT junction. The human chain symbolized equality, unity, fraternity, and participative governance.
