Donald Trump Jr. Joins Kalshi, Which Predicted Trump's Victory, as Strategic Adviser
Jan 13, 2025, 03:35 PM
Donald Trump Jr. has joined prediction market platform Kalshi as a strategic adviser, the company announced. Kalshi, which allows users to place yes-or-no bets on elections, economic events, and cultural moments, gained prominence during the recent U.S. presidential election when it predicted Donald Trump's victory hours before mainstream media outlets declared the results. Trump Jr. stated that on Election night, he and his family used Kalshi to confirm his father's win ahead of the media's reporting. "I immediately knew I had to contribute to their mission," he said. Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour welcomed Trump Jr., stating, "Prediction markets have the potential to be the largest financial market and a powerful source of truth. I can’t think of anyone better to help drive this mission." Co-founder Luana Lopes Lara also expressed excitement about building the future together.
