Jun 11, 2024, 08:44 PM
Two-time major champion Jon Rahm has announced his withdrawal from the 124th US Open at Pinehurst due to a painful, infected sore on his left foot. Rahm, who is currently ranked as the no. 8 player in the world, expressed his disappointment in a statement, citing long-term health concerns as the reason for his decision. The infection, located between his little toe and the next toe, is being treated with antibiotics. Rahm's withdrawal follows a press conference where he appeared uncomfortable and concerned about his condition. The news was first reported by Marty Smith.
