South Korea, Japan, and the United States have commenced the 'Freedom Edge' military drills, marking the first trilateral exercise of its kind. The joint exercises, which began on June 27, are aimed at countering growing threats from North Korea. The drills are being conducted to enhance the allies' readiness and interoperability in response to Pyongyang's increasing military provocations. Seoul’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) confirmed the initiation of these significant military maneuvers. Yonhap reported that the Republic of Korea (ROK) is actively participating in these drills.
