Jaguar Land Rover to Assemble Range Rover in India with Completely Knocked Down Units, Deliveries Start May 24
May 24, 2024, 09:40 AM
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has announced plans to assemble the iconic Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models in India. This marks the first time since 1970 that these flagship vehicles will be manufactured outside of Solihull, United Kingdom. The local manufacturing will involve completely knocked down units and will take place at the company's facility in Pune, making India the first country outside the UK to produce these models. Tata Group chairman N Chandrasekaran highlighted that the move underscores the confidence in India's manufacturing capabilities. Deliveries are set to start on May 24.
