Khamenei Asserts Iran Has No Proxy Forces in Region, Claims Hezbollah, Hamas, and Houthis Act on Belief

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran's Supreme Leader, stated during a meeting with religious figures that the Islamic Republic does not possess any proxy forces in the region, refuting claims that it has lost such forces. He emphasized that groups like Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis in Yemen do not operate as proxies for Iran but are motivated by their own beliefs and faith. Khamenei asserted, 'They keep saying that the Islamic Republic has lost its proxies in the region! This is another mistake! The Islamic Republic does not have any proxy forces.' He further claimed that if Iran were to take military action, it would not require the support of proxy forces.
