Israeli Strike Hits Tayyoun District After IDF Warning Evacuates Hezbollah Press Conference
Oct 22, 2024, 12:47 PM
Moments after Mohammad Afif, Head of Hezbollah's Media Office, began a press conference in Dahieh, Lebanon, the IDF Arabic Spokesperson issued a warning of an imminent attack in the area. This led to all media outlets fleeing the scene. Subsequently, an Israeli strike hit Beirut’s southern suburbs, specifically targeting a residential building in the Tayyoun district. The press conference was cut short, and Afif was left alone as journalists evacuated the area. The evacuation warning also included the Ghobeiry neighborhood, and an AFP video journalist reported that the airstrike leveled a whole building.
