Saudi Arabia Urges Citizens to Leave Lebanon Amid Israel-Hezbollah War Concerns
Jun 29, 2024, 06:01 PM
The Saudi Arabian government has issued an urgent advisory, strongly urging all its citizens currently residing in Lebanon to leave the country immediately due to escalating tensions and security concerns. The Saudi embassy in Lebanon is monitoring developments, particularly along the southern border, according to a foreign ministry statement. This advisory comes amid growing fears of a potential Israel-Hezbollah war, reminiscent of the 2006 conflict. Saudi Arabia is the first regional country to issue such a directive, with Jordan and Kuwait also warning against travel to Lebanon. Other countries, including Germany and Canada, have issued similar advisories.
