Houthis Fire 'Palestine-2' Missiles at Tel Aviv; Israel Strikes Yemeni Power Stations
Dec 19, 2024, 07:52 AM
On December 19, 2024, sirens sounded across Tel Aviv and central Israel due to an incoming ballistic missile attack launched by Yemen's Houthi rebels. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree claimed responsibility, stating they targeted two sensitive military sites in Tel Aviv with two hypersonic ballistic missiles named Palestine-2. In response, the Israeli Air Force conducted airstrikes targeting Houthi military sites in Yemen, including the Haziz power station in the capital Sanaa, Hodeidah, and the Ras Isa port. The strikes reportedly hit power plants, oil facilities, and ports, causing fires and significant damage. Houthi-aligned media reported at least 12 casualties from the Israeli airstrikes.
