U.S. Special Forces Colonel Kills Two Undocumented Chechens Near Fort Liberty
May 25, 2024, 12:23 PM
An elite U.S. Special Forces Army Colonel in Carthage, North Carolina, shot and killed an undocumented Chechen who was allegedly surveilling his home near Fort Liberty. The incident has raised concerns about increasing foreign surveillance of U.S. military personnel and their families. Reports indicate that two Chechen individuals, who were in the country illegally, were found outside the officer's home with a telephoto lens on their camera. The FBI has not yet opened a counterintelligence investigation into the matter.
