Putin's Decree Requires Illegal Migrants to Submit Biometric Data, Pass Medical Exams or Leave Russia by April 30, 2025
Dec 30, 2024, 07:06 PM
Russian President Vladimir Putin has issued a decree mandating that illegal migrants in Russia must either leave the country or regularize their legal status by April 30, 2025. The decree, part of a broader law on the expulsion of illegal migrants, was signed to address the issue of undocumented foreigners within the country. Migrants who fail to comply with the new regulations will face expulsion. Starting January 1, 2025, additional requirements will be enforced, including the submission of biometric data and passing medical examinations. Those who do not meet these criteria will also be required to leave Russia by the specified deadline.
