Armenia Returns 'Historic' Four Villages to Azerbaijan Since Early 1990s
Apr 19, 2024, 04:25 PM
Armenia has agreed to return four villages along their shared border to Azerbaijan, a move that marks the beginning of the border delimitation process between the two countries. These villages, located in the Gazakh region, had been under Armenian control since the early 1990s. The agreement follows a meeting of the state commission on border delimitation and is described as 'historic' by Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesperson Aykhan Hajizada. The Armenian Prime Minister emphasized that the proximity of Azerbaijan should be seen as an opportunity for trade and cooperation, rather than a cause for alarm.
