Runway Unveils Gen-3 Alpha AI Video Model with Major Improvements, 10-Second Clips

Runway has unveiled its latest AI video generation model, Gen-3 Alpha. This new model represents a significant advancement over its predecessor, Gen-2, with major improvements in fidelity, consistency, and motion. Gen-3 Alpha is capable of generating highly detailed and realistic videos, including complex scene changes and a wide range of cinematic choices. The model supports various tools such as Text-to-Video, Image-to-Video, and Text-to-Image, and offers advanced control modes like Motion Brush, Advanced Camera Controls, and Director Mode. It is the first model trained on Runway's new infrastructure designed for large-scale multimodal training, marking a step towards building General World Models. The model can generate 10-second-long clips and excels at creating photorealistic human characters. Gen-3 Alpha is expected to be available to the public in the coming days and can generate a 10-second video in 90 seconds.
