MMRDA Confirms India's Longest Sea Bridge Atal Setu Safe After Service Road Crack Repairs
Jun 22, 2024, 09:29 AM
The Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, also known as Atal Setu, India's longest sea bridge named after Atal Bihari Vajpayee, has been the subject of controversy following reports of cracks on a service road leading to the bridge. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has confirmed that the cracks were on a service road and not on the bridge itself. MMRDA officials have stated that the repair work has been completed and that the Atal Setu is 100% safe. Congress Chief Nana Patole had earlier claimed that the bridge had cracks, which was refuted by MMRDA project head.
