Britain's 'Heaviest Man' Jason Holton, 50 Stone, Dies from Organ Failure
May 6, 2024, 05:31 AM
Jason Holton, known as Britain's 'heaviest man', tragically passed away from organ failure last Saturday, just days before his 34th birthday. Weighing over 50 stone (approximately 317 kg), his condition had severely deteriorated, leading to his death in Surrey at the Royal Surrey County Hospital. His mother disclosed that despite medical efforts, doctors were unable to save him. In 2020, Holton's health issues necessitated a dramatic rescue where he was airlifted from his home by crane, assisted by 30 firefighters. Six firefighters had to transport him to the hospital. Concerns have also been raised about the feasibility of his cremation due to his size.
