Russia Deploys 15 Tu-95MS Bombers, Launches Kh-59 Missiles in Massive Attack on Ukraine
Nov 16, 2024, 04:55 PM
Russia has escalated its military operations against Ukraine, launching a significant attack involving approximately 15 Tu-95MS strategic bombers, alongside two submarines in the Black Sea capable of carrying up to eight Kalibr missiles each. These bombers, capable of carrying cruise missiles, were observed taking off from Olenya Airfield in Murmansk region, with some setting a course for launch routes near the Caspian Sea. The Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, experienced explosions around 3:15 a.m. local time, with Ukraine's Air Force warning of incoming Russian attack drones. Reports also indicate that Russian forces have launched Kh-59 cruise missiles targeting various Ukrainian cities, including Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and Odessa. Ukraine remains on high alert, anticipating further attacks following a week of large-scale training exercises by the Russian Federation involving these bombers and Tu-160 bombers.
