Cardano Foundation's Twitter Account Hacked, Spreading False SEC Lawsuit Claims, No Token Burns
Dec 8, 2024, 03:14 PM
The Twitter account of the Cardano Foundation has been compromised, leading to the spread of false information regarding a lawsuit by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the cessation of support for the $ADA token. Multiple users and organizations, including @harpieio and @TheBlock__, have confirmed that the account was hacked and urged the community to disregard any posts or links from the compromised account. The Cardano Foundation has not been sued by the SEC, and there are no plans to stop supporting the $ADA token. The tweets from the compromised account are identified as FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt), and there are no $ADA token burns. Users are advised to use caution and not to click on any links posted from the account, as comments on the posts are turned off and an affiliate account has been banned.
