Hudson Joseph Meek, a 16-year-old actor known for his role as the younger version of Baby in the 2017 film 'Baby Driver,' has died after falling from a moving vehicle. The incident occurred on December 19 in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, and Meek succumbed to his injuries two days later on December 21. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office reported that Meek suffered blunt force injuries from the fall. The Vestavia Hills Police Department is currently investigating the circumstances of the accident, with no signs of drugs or alcohol involvement. Meek's family confirmed his death on his Instagram account, describing his life as impactful despite its brevity. In addition to 'Baby Driver,' Meek had roles in other productions including 'MacGyver' and was set to appear in projects scheduled for release in 2025. Meek was also an organ donor, played on his high school football team, sang in the Honor Choir, was part of the student government, and had earned an advanced open water scuba diving certification. He had visited all 50 US states. In his memory, his family has established the Hudson J. Meek Memorial Scholarship to support students at Vestavia Hills High School.
