Trump, RNC Raise $76M in April, Half From Small Donors; MN, VA in Play
May 5, 2024, 03:11 AM
The Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee (RNC) announced they raised over $76 million in April, significantly surpassing their previous month's total of $65.6 million. This fundraising achievement, which marks an increase of nearly $11 million from March, was highlighted during a private donor retreat where it was also mentioned that Minnesota and Virginia are in play for the elections. Over half of the funds raised in April came from small dollar donors. Lara Lea Trump, RNC Co-Chair, attributed this fundraising success to Americans recognizing the stakes and supporting Trump amidst ongoing legal challenges, which she referred to as 'lawfare' intended to interfere with elections.
