This information was disclosed in a warning letter made public on November 19, 2024. Inspections also indicated the presence of black mold in the production facility, raising significant health concerns. Tom's of Maine is a subsidiary of Colgate-Palmolive Company ($CL), which ironically produces oral hygiene products designed to prevent such health risks.
