McConnell, 82, Falls After GOP Lunch, Sprains Wrist, Cleared to Resume Work

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, 82, tripped and fell following a Senate Republican lunch on Capitol Hill, sustaining a minor cut to the left side of his face and spraining his wrist. He was able to walk back to his office, where he received medical attention from EMTs and medical personnel, including DC Fire/Rescue. According to Senator John Thune, McConnell is 'fine' and 'in his office.' Senator John Barrasso added that McConnell 'was able to walk to his office after and has a scratch on his face.' A spokesperson for McConnell stated that he has been cleared to resume his schedule. This incident follows previous health issues for McConnell, including recent episodes where he froze during public appearances.
