Poland May Deploy Troops to Ukraine Amid Russian Advances, Raising NATO Concerns
May 28, 2024, 07:28 AM
Poland has indicated that it may deploy troops to Ukraine if Russia achieves a significant breakthrough in the ongoing conflict. Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski stated on Tuesday in published comments that Poland should not rule out sending troops to support Ukraine as Kyiv struggles to repel Russian advances. While Sikorski did not specify the role Polish troops would play, the involvement of Poland's well-equipped and trained army could escalate the conflict into a war involving NATO.
