China and Japan have reached a consensus on the discharge of Fukushima nuclear-contaminated wastewater, CCTV reported. The agreement includes Japan's commitment to establishing a long-term monitoring system and an open attitude towards other countries joining the monitoring process. Despite the agreement, China's firm opposition to the discharge remains unchanged.
