NHTSA Launches Fourth Probe into Fisker Ocean SUV Over Phantom Braking
May 10, 2024, 01:06 PM
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has initiated a fourth safety investigation into Fisker's Ocean SUV, focusing on complaints regarding the vehicle's automatic emergency braking (AEB) system activating unexpectedly. This latest probe adds to a growing list of safety concerns for the electric vehicle, which has now accumulated 135 total complaints filed with the NHTSA, significantly more than its competitors, Rivian and Lucid. The issue of 'phantom braking' has been highlighted as a serious concern for the EV maker.
