Ja'Marr Chase Wins NFL Triple Crown with 127 Receptions, 1,708 Yards, and 17 Touchdowns
Jan 6, 2025, 04:38 AM
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase has officially secured the NFL's receiving triple crown for the 2024 season. Chase led the league with 127 receptions, 1,708 receiving yards, and 17 touchdowns, becoming the sixth player in the Super Bowl era and the youngest since 1936 to achieve this rare feat. His performance included setting new Bengals franchise records for receptions and receiving yards, while tying the team's single-season touchdown record. Chase joins an elite group of players, including Cooper Kupp, Steve Smith Sr., Sterling Sharpe, Jerry Rice, and Lance Alworth, who have accomplished this milestone. The 24-year-old's historic season was capped off with a strong performance in Week 18, where he recorded 10 receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown in a 19-17 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow praised Chase, saying, "He works really hard for it. He’s obviously a great player, a great person." Chase's achievement comes as he enters the final year of his rookie contract, potentially boosting his value in future negotiations. His triple crown win solidifies his status as one of the NFL's premier wide receivers.
