Connor McDavid Ties Gretzky's 1988 Record with 31 Assists in a Single Postseason
Jun 16, 2024, 01:54 AM
Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers has tied Wayne Gretzky's NHL record for the most assists in a single postseason with 31, a record set in 1988. McDavid achieved this milestone during a 2-man advantage power play in which Zach Hyman scored, making the game 6-1 in favor of the Oilers. Leon Draisaitl was credited with the primary assist on Hyman's goal. This achievement also places McDavid tied for the 6th-most points in a single postseason and makes him just the 4th player in NHL history to accumulate 37 points in a postseason.
