Amazon-Owned Zoox to Deploy Dozens of Custom Robotaxis in San Francisco and Las Vegas

Amazon-owned autonomous vehicle company Zoox is set to roll out dozens of its custom-built robotaxis in San Francisco and Las Vegas in the coming weeks. The deployment will begin with employee rides in San Francisco’s SoMa district and the Las Vegas Strip, with plans to eventually expand to the public. Zoox co-founder and CTO Jesse Levinson announced the launch at TechCrunch Disrupt 2024, highlighting that the purpose-built autonomous vehicles will provide driverless rides to employees initially.
