Mercedes and Adidas Launch Groundbreaking Partnership for 2025 F1 Season Amid Hamilton's Move to Ferrari
Jan 7, 2025, 12:01 PM
Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team has announced a new multi-year partnership with Adidas, marking the sportswear brand's first foray into Formula 1. The collaboration, effective from the 2025 season, will see Adidas design and produce a full range of apparel, footwear, and accessories for the entire team, including drivers, mechanics, and engineers. This partnership replaces Mercedes' previous apparel supplier, Puma, and is set to introduce specially designed team kits tailored to the individual needs of each team member. The first range of products will be unveiled in February, with limited-edition releases planned throughout the year for fans. Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden highlighted the move as part of the company's strategy to engage with new consumers through the growing popularity of Formula 1. Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff described the partnership as a groundbreaking collaboration and a clear statement of intent as the team begins a new chapter without Lewis Hamilton, who has moved to Ferrari.
