Google Expands AI Overviews in Search to Over 100 Countries and Seven New Languages, Reaching 1 Billion Users

Google announced that it is expanding its AI Overviews feature in Search to more than 100 countries, reaching over 1 billion global users every month. Starting this week, AI-generated summaries at the top of search results will be available to users in multiple new regions and in seven new languages. Sundar Pichai, Google's CEO, noted that since launching AI Overviews earlier this year, users have been "asking a whole new universe of questions." He added that "with today’s expansion to 100+ countries, AI Overviews will reach 1B+ users globally," hinting at more exciting developments for Search ahead. The expansion aims to provide concise snapshots of information, enhancing the search experience by helping users find relevant information more efficiently.
