Suspected Mpox Case in India Consistent with NCDC Risk Assessment

A young male patient in India has been identified as a suspected case of Mpox (monkeypox) after recently traveling from a country experiencing Mpox transmission. The patient has been isolated in a designated hospital and is currently stable. Health authorities have taken samples from the patient for further testing. Contact tracing is underway, and the Health Ministry has stated there is no cause for undue concern. The development of this case is consistent with the earlier risk assessment conducted by the NCDC.
