Drug Company to Produce Millions of Mpox Vaccines by Next Year

A drug company has announced plans to significantly increase production of millions of mpox vaccines by next year. The company, which is among the few firms with an mpox vaccine, has informed the Africa CDC that it can manufacture 10 million doses by the end of 2025. Additionally, it could supply up to 2 million doses this year. This announcement comes as the WHO has urged manufacturers to ramp up vaccine production in response to a potential mpox scare.
