Patrick Bertoletti Wins 2024 Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest with 58 Hot Dogs, Claims Mustard Belt; Miki Sudo Sets New Record
Jul 4, 2024, 03:30 PM
Patrick Bertoletti of Chicago won his first men's title at the 2024 Nathan's Famous Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest by consuming 58 hot dogs and claiming the Mustard Belt. This year's contest was notable for the absence of 16-time champion Joey Chestnut, who was banned due to a conflict over his endorsement of a plant-based brand. Geoffrey Esper finished in second place with 53 hot dogs. James Webb and Nick Wehry were also top contenders. In the women's division, Miki Sudo set a new record by eating 51 hot dogs, securing her tenth title. The event, held in Coney Island, New York, marked the 108th time the contest has taken place.
