Paul DeJong hit his 12th home run of the season, a three-run shot, putting the Chicago White Sox ahead 3-1 against the Boston Red Sox in the bottom of the fourth inning. The home run followed a series of errors by the Red Sox, including one by David Hamilton. Gavin Sheets reached first on an error, moved to second and third on subsequent errors, and scored on DeJong's home run.
