VisitChina's Thriving Low-Altitude Economy to See 100,000 eVTOLs by 2030
Nov 27, 2024, 09:00 AM
China is positioning itself as a leader in the electric Vertical Take-off and Landing (eVTOL) market, with projections indicating that the country could have 100,000 eVTOLs in operation by 2030. These vehicles are expected to serve as family transport and air taxis, revolutionizing urban mobility. According to a report from the China Low Altitude Economic Alliance, major cities in China are expected to have air traffic networks and ground flight service facilities largely completed within two to three years, paving the way for the commercial rollout of eVTOLs. Innovations in the sector, such as a Shenzhen-based startup designing a UFO-inspired eVTOL, were highlighted at the CISCE 2024 event, showcasing China's advancements in sustainable and futuristic transportation, aligning with its thriving low-altitude economy and sustainability focus.
