Turkey's Bayraktar TB2 UAV Reaches 1 Million Flight Hours in 10 Years
Dec 10, 2024, 07:24 AM
Bayraktar TB2, Turkey's first national armed unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), has surpassed 1 million flight hours, marking a historic achievement in Turkish aviation history. The UAV, which entered service in 2014, has become the first national aircraft to reach this milestone over a 10-year period. This accomplishment was celebrated by Baykar Tech, the manufacturer, highlighting the UAV's role in Turkey's National Technology Initiative. The TB2 has not only set a record for flight hours but also for being the most exported UAV in terms of both quantity and the number of countries it has been sold to, with an additional 250,000 flight hours added in the last year alone.
