Boeing to Start Temporary Furloughs, 1 Week Every 4 Weeks, Amid Machinist Strike
Sep 18, 2024, 03:58 PM
Boeing has announced it will start temporary furloughs of white-collar staff amid an ongoing machinist strike. The furloughs will affect tens of thousands of employees, including a large number of US-based executives, managers, and other staff. The plan entails furloughing some workers for one week every four weeks. Boeing's CEO and leadership team will also take a pay cut during the strike to help preserve cash and support the company's recovery.
