Nevada Republicans Achieve R+18 Margin, 52.7% Share in Early Voting
Oct 20, 2024, 05:37 AM
On the first day of early voting in Nevada for the 2024 elections, Republicans significantly outperformed Democrats in in-person voting. In Clark County, which is traditionally a Democratic stronghold, Republicans garnered 49% of the vote, compared to 31% for Democrats and 20% for other parties. Statewide, Republicans achieved a 52.7% share of the vote (22,284 votes), while Democrats received 28.1% (11,854 votes). This marks a significant shift from 2020, where Democrats had a 7-point lead in Clark County on the first day of early voting. Yesterday, it was R+18. However, Democrats are expected to dominate mail-in voting, and the full impact of mail ballots is yet to be seen. With mail and EV counted, the statewide first day margin is D+1,721.
