Todd Phillips Exits DC Universe After $200 Million 'Joker: Folie à Deux' Receives 35% Rating

Todd Phillips, the director of 'Joker: Folie à Deux', has announced that he is officially done with the DC Universe. Phillips stated that he wanted nothing to do with DC while making the $200 million sequel, and he refused to work with James Gunn and Peter Safran-led DC Studios. Warner Bros. allowed Phillips to continue his vision without any input from Gunn. The film did not have any test screenings and has received a low rating of 35% on Rotten Tomatoes, making it one of the lowest-rated comic book movie sequels by critics and fans. The production has been described as a debacle and a misfire.
